HeroClix Event For Wednesday, June 28 - The Vortex!
This week's event is called The Vortex. I think we've done it before, but I'll lay out the scenario details here.
Put together a 300-point team, no restrictions. The center 4 squares of the board are a mighty vortex, sucking everything around it ever closer. At the beginning of each player's turn, move EVERY figure 2 SQUARES towards the vortex (most direct route to closest vortex square, orthogonally or diagonally). Any figure which moves or is pulled into one of the vortex squares is immediately eliminated, forever, from the game, and the opposing player gets credits for the knock-out.
If a figure slams into a wall, the figure takes the appropriate damage only once. However, if a figure is up against the same wall section for MORE THAN THREE CONSECUTIVE TURNS, at the beginning of the fourth turn, the player is pulled through the wall (takes damage) and is sucked towards the vortex. (Note that for the purposes of this description, when I reference "turn", I mean each player's turn. So, I go (my turn), Bob goes (that's another turn), I go again (that's another turn), etc.
This is a little more brutal, I think, than the last time we played this scenario. If this is too much, drop me an email. I think it looks pretty fun!
